P.S. This is the first time I eagerly held author Barb Howe's book in
my hands after spending a couple of years working with her on its 400
pages of meticulous research and fascinating stories of pioneer women
in Canada.
I was responsible for the small print: endless pages of footnotes and
bibliographic entries are my specialty.
It was a beautiful journey from beginning to end and I am immensely
proud of Barb for not giving up, despite deep personal grief during
the writing of her magnum opus. I am also grateful to Drs. David and
Barbara Wyman for introducing us. :)
