5. Book launch

At the book launch, it was my privilege to read an excerpt from
Forgotten Voices...
...and it made me realise again how easy my life in Canada is. The
pioneer women whose stories Barb tells were astonishing. I admired
them more each time I read through the book.
I want to write about my life here as an immigrant, but sometimes I
feel a twinge of something akin to embarrassment that I lead this
privileged life (which I love).
